While it worked it was very useful and certainly a lot easier that models with a cord. The hand grip is comfortable and while the reach is not massive I've been able to cut a tall hedge with no problems. The power is adequate for moderate sized branches but do not expect it to tackle anything thicker than 7mm, you will need to have your old shears to hand. Safety seems excellent although this is a dangerous device by it's nature, but release either trigger and it stops instantly.
