i have bought 2 sets of 8 of these lights in the past 3 weeks ( 2 different batch numbers ) both sets start to flash on & off after a few hours. i bought these lights after having had the same lights some 18 months ago with no trouble. there is obviously a manufacturing fault .i would advise you choose a different solar light or wait until homebase rectify this problem , be warned!!!

At first these lights look amazing. They lit up my very dark steps and looked really smart and bright. However, as noted by others, come the eraly hours of the morning (or late evening if poor sunlight during the day) they begin to flash which can be seen through my curtains and also the curtains of the neighbours. I took them back for an exchange and the new lights do just the same. You have been warned!

Purchased one to test. Requires full sun over a decent period of time to charge and work effectively for more than an hour or two after dusk. When the battery is charged the 3 LEDs are extremely bright but these things dont charge enough on cloudy days and only operate effectively for a very short time before they start flashing - presumably to make the most of the remaining power over a longer period of time. Good as a burglar deterrent looking like a security strobe light flashing, not so good as a bright white solar light. Rubbish.

I bought 5 of these stylish lights BUT After two hours they started flashing. I persisted for a week incase they wer'nt fully charged but with the recent hot soell it made no difference they still flashed, so I took them back to Homebase for replacements. I was careful to select boxes with a different batch number But it made no difference these flashed into the early hours like a demented disco.In all not to be recommeded in a word rubbish.
