I LOVE my broughton sleigh bed, i bought a seconds one from ex display, however the instruction manual shows that it should have a midle piece of wood going from the head of the bed to the bottom, and our has three planks going across the width?
the book also shows that the slats fit into the frame and ours came seperate on a metal frame.

has anyone else had this?

Went to our local Laura Ashely to have a look and this bed, and fell in love with it straight away. We came back here and ordered online as there was a 25% Off promotion and saved a packet.

The bed is very sturdy and solid feeling and has a beautiful finish, but when it was delivered, because our staircase is quite tight, the foot of the bed got a scuff on it, but the delivery men said to call Laura Ashley and they would sort it out. We called, and very soon they sent someone round with a replacement and now the bed is perfect.

The delivery men were excellent and assembled everything - I didn't have to lift a finger.

We also bought two of the matching bedside tables and the chest of drawers, so I will put a review on for you of these as well.
